AGROC FOODS, a leading exporter of Sesame Seeds and Rice in Pakistan, is a subsidiary of Pakistan’s largest agro-business “HAJISONS Group”. Since 1955, HAJISONS Group has been a pioneer in uplifting the 92% small-holder farmers of Pakistan by providing them with hybrid seeds. AGROC FOODS aims to take forward this vision of HAJISONS Group to connect the small-holder farmers of Pakistan to the world. Partnering with “KISSAN GUDAM” – our sister-concern, our mission is to reduce food wastage and provide food security through our state of the art “Hermetic Cocoon” Storage facilities established all across Pakistan with a capacity of more than 100,000 metric tonnes. We play an integral role in the mission of food security by aiding the small-holder farmers of Pakistan and storing their crops in “Organic Hermetic Bags” thereby reducing food wastage by 40%. This not only eliminates the middle-man (arthiyas) but also maintains the quality of the crop, uplifts the local farmer as they are able to secure a good price for their crop and unlock global opportunities for them. As a result, AGROC FOODS has been successfully providing top quality products of small-holder farmers of Pakistan, stored in “Hermetic Cocoons” with on-time delivery to our customers in 30+ countries around the world.

It is estimated that 92% farmers of Pakistan are small-holder farmers. In 1955, the HAJISONS Group started with a clear vision and mission to uplift the small-holder farmers of Pakistan. With this vision, HAJISONS introduced hybrid seed technology to small-holder farmers of Pakistan leading to increased crop cultivation for the hard-working farmers of Pakistan. In 2000, HAJISONS was one of the few companies that introduced the concept of drip-irrigation to farmers by partnering with the Government of Pakistan to set-up successful drip-irrigation projects throughout Pakistan. In 2002, greenhouse farming equipped with advanced irrigation systems were evaluated and adopted on our corporate farms and then introduced to our farming community across the country. In 2016, HAJISONS Group had the opportunity to inaugurate highly modernized seedling production plants in the country which are now being used to distribute high quality seedlings of various varieties to farmers all across Pakistan. Over these years, HAJISONS has built a strong relationship and trust with the small-holder farmers of Pakistan which is still prospering to this day. HAJISONS Group is now continuing its legacy and nurturing its strong relationship with Pakistani farmers by developing and introducing technologies to combat pests to bring about healthy production of crops.
Aligned with our mission and vision of sustainability and uplifting small-holder farmers HAJISONS Group introduced KISSAN GUDAM (Farmer’s Warehouse), which provides organically certified “Hermetic Storage” for the small-holder farmers. Our capacity to store grains and crops is more than 100,000 metric tonnes and is increasing by day. We currently have 11 centralized and state of the art storage sites dispersed all across Pakistan that are connected with each other. Through this project, we have resolved the biggest issue of field crops i.e., post-harvest losses in transportation and adequate commodity storage. Through these storage facilities, we have developed a better and safer concept of storing agricultural products which are commonly stored in metal silos which cause crop damage leading to inadequate quality and bring about huge losses to the poor and hard-working farmer and also to the customers. We are helping farmers resolve this issue by providing them with organically certified “Hermetic Cocoons” to store their crop in safer hands so that they can be assured of the quality of their crop when they sell. These organic storage facilities are used globally and are considered safer than storing in conventional warehouses. With the traditional means of storage which are used abundantly across Pakistan where there is no proper mechanism of quality control, leading to hazards like high moisture and weather changes causing deterioration in the commodity leading to insect infestations and fungus attacks etc. As the majority of the farmers in Pakistan are smallholders, they cannot afford to lose their crops. That is where we step in. We store their crops in secure organically certified “Hermetic Cocoons” that not only reduces the wastage of crops but also leaves the crop fresh and ensures the healthiness and superior quality of the crops stored.
Taking a step forward, we are now assisting these small-holder farmers reach the international market through AGROC FOODS, which is an ISO-9001:2005 certified company. With AGROC FOODS, we retain the standard of high quality grains that have been stored by the small-holder farmers in “Hermetic Storage” facilities of KISSAN GUDAM for the purposes of exporting. AGROC FOODS has an expert and experienced purchasing team. They locate the best crops already stored in our “Hermetic Cocoons” by small-holder farmers. . This produce is tested rigorously before being marked as ready to be exported by our purchasing team. Rest assured we only commit to sell the best quality product to our customers stored by small-holder farmers in a sustainable manner.
Quality Control
We are committed to supply superior quality products to our trusted customers. We keep ourselves up-to-date with the latest technologies and practices in the agro-community. It allows us to keep our products top quality and our customers satisfied and happy. As soon as our purchasing team has marked the best crops in the storage facilities, the crop is then sent for processing in our state of the art processing facility. Being an ISO 9001:2005 and HACCP certified company, we ensure that a HACCP plan is applied which is strictly controlled by hazard analyses and risk assessments. After processing, samples are drawn from them, which are then sent for lab testing to renowned independent companies like SGS, Eurofins, and Bureauvitas. The samples are taken in accordance with EN ISO 948 and VO Nr. 401/2006. Only the lot which has passed the rigorous testing stage is delivered to our customers globally.
Storage
We are one of the leading exporters of Pakistan with 100,000 metric tonnes of storage capacity in “Hermetic Cocoons” spread over 11 centralized and state of the art storage sites dispersed all across Pakistan that are connected with each other. . We maintain the rank of “leading” with our exclusive and superior quality products. Because of this, we are keen on providing food security and reducing food wastage. We do so by utilizing one of the best storage services provided by KISSAN GUDAM. We use “Hermetic Cocoons” to store the produce that guarantees the safety and security of our products. These cocoons keep insects, mold, infestation, or any such issues crops can face out of the storage which is not the case in conventional silo storage facilities. This allows us to be confident of the quality and freshness of our crops.
